Exploring the Journey of Creations By Julie Brayton

With Earth Day receiving significant attention in past weeks, our focus is easily turned towards eco-friendly and organic products that align perfectly with your lifestyle.

For me, nature is a daily celebration. If you’re intrigued by what I have to say, chances are you share the same sentiment. Nature and the Earth serve as the inspiration for all my endeavors. My admiration for our beautiful waterways, animals, and flowers fuels the ideas behind most of my designs. Among the myriad of color choices for 2024, Peach Fuzz stands out as particularly significant.

But why was Peach Fuzz chosen as the Pantone Color of the Year 2024? Here’s what the Institute had to say:

“In times of turmoil, our need for empathy and compassion intensifies, alongside our yearning for a peaceful future. Amidst a world often preoccupied with productivity, finding solace in creativity and human connection is crucial. We cherish moments with loved ones and value solitary reflections. With this ethos in mind, the Institute selected a color that underscores the importance of community and togetherness. The chosen hue reflects our desire for closeness with loved ones and the joy derived from introspection. This makes Peach Fuzz an ideal color for interior spaces.”

Colors chosen for a year inevitably influence fashion trends. Peach Fuzz enhances heartwarming moments with loved ones and elevates solitary indulgences. Moreover, Peach or Coral tones complement most skin tones.

Peach Fuzz is the big color for this year or Light Orange.

Pantone felt that in our tumultous times empathy and compassion is more than ever a needed component in our lives, as does imaging a peaceful future. We need creativity and human connection. They selected this color to express love and joy when spent with family and friends.

Coincidentally I created this design before I even new orange and peach were a favorite color for 2024! This Sheath Style dress can be layered either with a white collared shirt under the Dress or wear a long cardigan sweater over this for an added touch of fashion to this pretty dragonfly patterened dress.
