Stylish Fashion & Home Decor
Exploring the Journey of Creations By Julie Brayton
Spring has arrived, bringing with it the ever-unpredictable weather of the East Coast. Despite the fluctuations, the rising temperatures infuse us with a sense of joy, prompting thoughts of renewal and refreshment.
It’s a perfect time to sift through your wardrobe, discarding garments untouched for years and embracing new pieces to invigorate your style and mood. While trends evolve annually, adhering strictly to them can be both expensive and environmentally unfriendly. However, staying informed about them allows for selective incorporation of new elements without draining your wallet.
Have you ever pondered the relationship between fashion and interior design? Fashion traditionally leads the way in setting color palettes and stylistic trends, a role further magnified by the interconnectedness afforded by the internet. Platforms like Instagram wield significant influence, shaping not only fashion but also design, technology, and culture. Influencers and advertisements, seamlessly integrated into our social media feeds, contribute to the collective zeitgeist.
Yet, amidst these overarching trends, personal preferences, regional variations, and industry-specific factors still exert significant influence on color trends. Ultimately, the interpretation of these trends remains subjective, allowing for diverse expressions of style and individuality.
Trend in color now happening are, Peach is #1 then there’s Lilacs, Powder Blue or Chambray, Mint Gree and more. Check out some color Swatches.
Remember the different Etsy shops I am currently building are Julie By The Coast with Fine Art and Prints, Designs By Julie Art with mens and womens clothing and home decor products, Digital Designs By Jules which has digital download items such as clip art, printable planners and more. Finally for now, Suka Delish Treats with every dogs and some cat products. These are all things I enjoy and am passionate about and I’m just having a blast! The next shop I have in mind is to sell tutorials on how to paint.
Peach Fuzz is the big color for this year or Light Orange.
Pantone felt that in our tumultous times empathy and compassion is more than ever a needed component in our lives, as does imaging a peaceful future. We need creativity and human connection. They selected this color to express love and joy when spent with family and friends.
Coincidentally I created this design before I even new orange and peach were a favorite color for 2024! This Sheath Style dress can be layered either with a white collared shirt under the Dress or wear a long cardigan sweater over this for an added touch of fashion to this pretty dragonfly patterened dress.

My Why
In everything I do nature is incorporated. My goal or mission is to bring reminders and connection to the importance each individual has through the connection to nature. How we all can honor the essence of who we have always been meant to be. Creativity, whether through collecting art or creating it, is a healing force that allows us to embrace, tell and own our stories in a transformative and ultimately joyful way.
The very first pieces of art that I purchased was from Julie, although I no longer live in RI this beautiful work of art brings me a sense of calm, well being and the good memories of RI. Thanks Julie.
Pam thank you so much for that! So Nice to hear from you!
